should i apply
just curious if i should apply for my credit unions visa card? i became a member about 3 wks ago...deposited 2k...they did a soft pull and my score came around 718?! im starting to get my credit unions credit card app in mail i have just activated my wells fargo card 2 wks ago with a limit of 5k and i also have a best buy store card of 2600....total utilization of both cards is around 7% my rate on the credit union card is sickkk...2.9 to start then the max rate is 8.7...(thats what they say...max rate) my wells fargo is 0% for 9 months....then jumps to 18%....of course id rather take 2.9 now and jump to 8.7 then free money for 9 months with a jump to 18% i would be suprised if i was denied my credit unions card, but if i was to apply and get denied....would my credit limit get decreased? interest rate get increased? because of the pull?? should i apply??? i dont need the card but it would be cool to have established history with another line???

I'm a graduate student looking to rebuild my credit by obtaining a secured card. I got behind on payments in 2008 because an employer failed to myself and the other employees so I was forced to switch jobs. I've looked into the Wells Fargo secured card because I bank with them

Citi Secured Card vs. Wells Fargo Secured
So, I've been researching secured cards and have basically narrowed it down to between two cards. While I'd prefer to get a card somewhere that I bank, like Chase, they dont offer a secured card and I was planning on getting the HSBC branded secured card but i heard that one wasnt being issued anymore...so its between Citi Secured and Wells Fargo Secured...I have a few questions though...

How To Establish First-time Credit
Question, My girlfriend got a credit card ($1,000 limit) in 10/04, that was closed within less than 2 years (by her parents) after she had two 30-day late and one 60-day late payment. I assume her parents paid it off and closed it, because she's sitting on a $0.00 due balance. I also assumed she thought it was just like another Debit card (I did the same thing my Freshman year of college), and didn't know she had to pay it off after taking use of it

Citi Platinum Select Approval
I received a Citi Platinum Select MasterCard application invitation in the mail. It didn't say anything about being pre-approved but it had an "Invitation Code". I've got several baddies on my report including collections and some lates (all are due to age off in the next 3-12 months), so as soon as I saw the Citi logo I thought "yeah, right, a prime card with my report"

Wells Fargo CLI
I opened my first credit card through Wells Fargo on Dec. 08 and since I have opened it I have been declined a CLI at 6 months, auto CLI at 1 year(only $300), and today since I had just recently paid it off and have never missed a payment thought I would request it be increased $700 to $2000 but got the 7-10 days i will find out speech. Is Wells Fargo a hard credit card to get CLIs with? My credit doesnt have any collections or anything and ive never missed any payments on any of my cards or Auto Loan. Is there any number i can ring to be reconsidered

Wells Fargo Not "Graduating" Secured Cards
I just got off the phone with Wells Fargo card service. The reason I called was because I have had a secured card with them for 2.5 years and wanted to get it unsecured. The nice lady on the phone told me that they are not accepting any applications at this time to "graduate" to unsecured
