Will homeowners insurance cover a laptop damaged by power outage?

We had a bad storm about 2 weeks ago, i believe the power had to of when out at some point in the night because my alarm clock was reset. I paid for a MacBook Pro for 1900, and it stays plugged in at night, when i woke up the next morning it would not power on. I took it to a repair shop and they said it would be over 2000 to repair. Can i claim this on my homeowners insurance? Also, The computers not even a month old and the warranty doesn’t cover this.

daljack 99% of the time those things on the curbs are broken or gross. When I have things to pass on I make sure it's something I would want myself.
